We took a drive out to palm springs one day. Of course, mini photo shoots incurred and the photo below created. Gorgeous.
I had the pleasure of shooting this wedding with Lehua Noelle. Loved the setting & having time to be creative throughout the day.
It was pitch black. We pulled in off the side of the 17 mile drive cautiously. Stepping out of the car, I immediately knew I was closer to heaven. The sea salt air hit me as did the sound of soft crashing waves. We walked through the little gate and pathway down to the house, however, castle is really more appropriate. The six of us enjoyed a slice of heaven in Carmel for the weekend, enjoying each other’s company, good food, and the beauty of architecture and nature built into one (which was extremely reminiscent of an Anthropologie catalog).
Picture a Sunday afternoon potluck on the grass outside your church - the one you grew up in and your parent’s parents grew up in. Paper table cloths. Fruit punch. Jello salad.
For my church, it was vanilla wafers and punch that we ran to after Sunday school. For others, it was a full blown Sunday picnic potluck. For the book release party of Brett McCracken’s “Hipster Christianity,” he wanted a combination of the traditional Sunday potluck with a modern hipster twist.
For us, that spoke red gingham, mason jars and beer bottles.
this was a brain child of myself and the talented designer Lehua Noelle.
